What We Believe

The Remnant Church fellowship is an assembly of believers who are standing for and believing in the Gospel of Jesus Christ as is recorded in the Matthew, Mark, Luke & John. Rom 15:19 speaks of the Apostle Paul as ‘fully preaching’ the Gospel. The inference that we may draw from this verse of scripture is that the Gospel can be preached ‘in part.

These ‘declarations of our faith’ are intended only to be brief summaries of the basic teachings, which we feel the early disciples strongly believed in. Too many people in the Body of Christ are uncertain as to what the Word of God declares. Unable to rightly discern whether or not certain promises and manifestations are for the time-frame in which we live or have ceased to function by reason of the death of the last apostle. Because of this, many are able to quote (verbatim) the doctrines of denominations that have arisen in the last few hundred years but rarely is the Bible consulted to see what the first century Church believed exactly. Therefore we believe that the same Holy Ghost who indwelled the believers in the first century Church is the Spirit of Jesus sent to lead and guide the 21st century Church also.

It is our desire to preach Jesus Christ in the fullness of the Spirit unto all whom the Lord shall lead us. We seek only to minister God’s Word with the anointing and with power. We also recognize the work of the Lord in the general body of Christ and that the redeeming effects of the cross of Jesus are not to be limited by or confined to one particular group of believers. Knowing that in Christendom in general, and in the Protestant body in particular, God is at work in multitudes of human hearts.

The definitions are not comprehensive but they are adequate enough that one is able to grasp the central truths that are presented here in print. It is my prayer that you will continue and follow on to know the Lord with a hungry heart and that you will enter in unto the fullness of the blessing of God (Rom 15:29).
