Catallus 85

Catullus (c. 84-54 BC.) was easily one of the most important poets of the late Roman Empire. The early Church Fathers recognized his value as a composer of verse and vigorously read his works. A new generation of readers are now starting on the quest backwards toward the Latin writers of old. And I can think of no better introduction to Roman literature than the mighty Catullus.
