Welcome to the General Association of Remnant Churches
The General Association of Remnant Churches is the result of our travels in and around Nebraska preaching Jesus Christ in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. In March of 1998 I arrived in the great state of Nebraska to preach what was supposed to be a two week revival. These meetings eventually became the foundation for our first church and subsequently for our movement. Taking II Kings 19:31 (parallel text in Isaiah 37) as our inspiration we have sought to proclaim the truths of the word to a remnant of believers whose hearts are hungry for more of Jesus.
Some years ago while in prayer the Lord revealed to me that within small town America, there existed groups of 20-30 people in various villages that desired more in the way of a Spirit filled life; an unashamed belief in the baptism of the Holy Ghost and in the power of God. With so many Pentecostal and Evangelical churches afraid of the ‘mighty workings’ of the Holy Spirit that we were to announce the Good News of Jesus in Old fashioned Pentecostal power. Throughout North Central Kansas and South Central Nebraska God’s hand has been present to confirm His Word with sings following. From sinners saved by the blood of Jesus to believers filled with the Holy Ghost speaking with other tongues, even unto the divine healing power of Jesus manifested in these days, we have seen the Lord walk the dusty roads of the Heartland ensuring that His testimony would remain in the hearts and lives of multitudes who have experienced Christ.
It is our desire in our churches to perpetuate sound biblical teachings, while craving a radical relationship with Jesus. We travel in a traditional circuit of ministry, much like the older preachers of centuries gone by and have proven that saints of God will worship the Lord anywhere and at anytime of the day or night. With joy in our hearts for the Lord we continue the ministry of old time revival (in the traditional sense), preaching the Cross of Jesus and leaving the results to Him. I conclude with this thought: Once while holding meetings in a mainline church the pastor told me of a friend who had called and asked “what is happening up there in Nebraska?” the pastor replied “why do you ask?” the friend stated that they had seen a vision of fire burning along the map of covering the area of South Central Nebraska and knew that something was going on. My pastor friend then told me that immediately they knew that God was revealing to others what he was doing here through our ministry. Well, I do hope and I pray that our outreaches and ministries truly are a fire overspreading the Mid-American terrain but even if not I know that the Lord is proving himself faithful unto all of us who are yet contending for the beliefs of the first century Church.
Through our radio program ‘The Heartland Revival Hour’ {KRVN 880}, we are able to preach the Gospel to Jesus to persons in an 8 state radius. In effect, we are reaching thousands of people weekly by this media. To God be the Glory great things He hath done so loved He the World that He gave us His Son!
